This is a collection of immersive, ambisonic recordings of the crowd at the 2023 Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California.

These recordings capture the ambience of the parade crowd from the audience’s perspective.  You can hear applause, chatter, laughter, horns and distant indistinguishable marching band music in the distance.  There is also a recording of a group of 8 Clydesdale horses passing by.

Includes:

3 Sounds, 2 minutes,  A Format, B-Format (AmbiX), and stereo renders. 9 wav files, 450.3MB

These are 32 bit/96k files, recorded with a Sennheiser Ambeo Mic and a Zoom F6 with Rycote wind protection. The sounds were rendered in Reaper using the Sennheiser Ambeo A-B Converter plugin.  Download the plugin for free here.
