This is a collection of immersive, ambisonic recordings from bleachers of a High School football playoff game in southern California during the fall of 2022.

The sound of a crowd at a high school football game from the audience perspective is a mix of cheers, chants, and applause. The spectators’ excitement is palpable, and you can feel the energy in the air. The sound of the marching band playing the school fight song adds to the festive atmosphere, while the sound of the players colliding on the field can be heard in the background. The soundscape is full of enthusiasm and passion for the game.

These are 32 bit/96k files, recorded with a Sennheiser Ambeo Mic and a Zoom F6 with Rycote wind protection. The sounds were rendered in Reaper using the Sennheiser Ambeo A-B Converter plugin.  Download the plugin for free here.
