Ambisonic Handguns V3 Sig Sauer P229 40cal

This is a collection of immersive, ambisonic audio recordings of a Sig Sauer P229 40cal handgun. The firearm recordings were captured from the shooter’s perspective, in an outdoor environment in rural, mountain valley terrain. The handling sounds were recorded indoors. Ideal for 1st person shooter game design.

The Sig Sauer P229 .40 cal is a compact, double-action, semi-automatic handgun. When firing the Sig Sauer P229 .40 cal, the first thing you’ll hear is the metallic “clack” of the slide being racked back and forth as the first round is loaded. Once the weapon is loaded and ready to fire, the sound of the gunfire itself is relatively loud, with a sharp report that is more high-pitched than some other calibers. The .40 cal round is known for its power and recoil, and this is reflected in the sound of the gunfire. The report is sharp and piercing, with a quick, staccato burst of noise that can be a bit jarring if you’re not used to firing such a powerful round. As with most firearms, you’ll also hear the sound of the spent cartridge being ejected from the weapon after each shot, as well as the sound of the slide moving back and forth as the shooter continues to fire. The Sig Sauer P229 .40 cal firing is a loud and powerful sound that commands attention.
